I'm up a little earlier than yesterday's 11:54 in the morning. Today's alarm clock was the lovely sound of our feline having an uplifting experience. Kitty brought up a hairball at around 9:50 on this sunny Sunday morning. Being that cats have staff (me), I got up and looked for the offending remnants that our lovely little had deposited at the side of my bed. I managed with some aplomb to find and not step barefoot in to the mess. Grabbing some Kleenex I scooped op the icky stuff and got rid of it. So began another lovely day in out household.
Aside from the above I really haven't anything to write about from around here. Later today depending upon the weather I may venture out to a place called Scout Valley for a stroll in the woods. Lately with all the goings on in the media I have been slowly getting wound up with a feeling of dread. I don't like change and the winds of change are on the way south of the border in the
not so United States.
Pardon me, I'm going to get a little political here just for a moment.
A lot of folks have been comparing The Donald to Hitler lately and I think this analogy while good is off the mark. If The Donald was going to be compared to any historical figure I think that person should be Benito Mussolini. There are two reasons for this, the first being that Mussolini was seen as a buffoon the way Mr Trump is and second, like Mussolini, Mr. Trump is a fascist.
I have long thought that the Americans haven't had decent political leadership for a long, long time. That lack of good leaders who put country first ended several decades ago with the death of Kennedy. Since then there has been noting but a series of lower tier minds at the helm using position for personal gain. Now things are coming home to roost in the form of Donald Trump.
Over the past several decades the American elites have set the stage for what's coming. With this election it's only a matter of time until the curtain lowers on the concept of a free United States. If Mrs. Clinton manages to win, and that is up in the air, I think her win will only postpone the inevitable rise of a fascist state by one or two terms in office, but come it will.
Here are a few links for you.
There are some socialist news editors who are so against The Donald they will even risk jail time.
Once upon a time I used to think that the cops were the good guys. While my view of law enforcement hasn't changed that much about Canadian police (except the RCMP) American cops are a totally different matter.
One thing I do know about being in emergency high stress situations (I was a fire fighter once upon a time) is that this defense of a police shooting it total BS.
One of the things that got me in trouble over the years was the belief that blindly following orders was wrong. Where I came by that belief was in reading about the Nuremberg verdicts and how they were arrived at.
It's starting to look like HIV research is paying off and a real cure is actually on the horizon.
Having worked back in the seventies as a part time armored car driver/guard I suspect these guys have a little explaining to do.
Rule number one, if you are going to impersonate a police officer try picking a target to pull over who is not a police officer.
And here my friends is the beginning of the end for Uber drivers, taxi drivers, truck drivers and drivers in general.
Looks like I'm not the only one who was pissed at yet another change in our Canadian national anthem.
And with that I'm out of links to post. We now return you to your regular Sunday surfing. That's a wrap from up here North of Disorder.
