The Way-Back Machine

I was out of the house this morning just after sunrise at ten in the morning. Well somewhere in the world it was just after sunrise. Anyway, I zoomed down to the big city to see my old friend for lunch and to pick up some stuff. My buddy is one of those who suffer from Alzheimer's and it is starting to show. It's the little things like his not being able to take off or put on the front wheel of a bike or sort out how to take items in a elevator. I just don't know how long he is going to last. At least he knows what his problem is and compensates for it with the use of a note book as opposed to trying to remember things.

When I returned home there was "the letter" in my mail box a letter I was anxiously waiting for. I see I'm getting a little ahead of myself...

Please step into the way-back machine. There you go, careful of the step... Buttons pushed, leavers thrown and we're off...

Back at the end of February I saw my Doctor about a  mild pain in the side. I have had this type of pain before so no big deal, I was sent for an ultrasound. That took two weeks to get done. A week later I was contacted and told that I had not one but two kidney stones that were too big to pass so I was off to see a specialist. Time ticked on and finally I was next in line and went in to see the Specialist. Dopey me I was under the impression that when I went to see the specialist back at the end of April it would be to arrange a day surgery. So the Specialist and I chatted. Having already had an ultrasound I fully expected to be on the table sooner (that day) rather than later. But nooo, I was told the ultrasound wasn't accurate enough and I had to go for a special ct-scan and (we are back to the present) that was what this letter was about, I now have a time and date. Now all I have to do is keep sucking back pain killers until August. Angry fails to even cover how I feel right now. One thing I have learnt over the years is not to start screaming, ranting and raving while I'm angry so I will make a phone call tomorrow.

Anyway that's about it for me from up here North of Disorder and thank you for letting me bend your ear.
