Goodby Garrison

Last night it was a clear and mild one with enough background noise to be interesting. Unlike the night before when death made a visit. A rabbit, by the sounds of it, got caught by "something" possibly a fox or a coyote and was killed. It's cries went on and on until finally all was quiet. This morning it was the sound of lawn equipment that rousted me from my peaceful slumber. It seemed like there had been some sort of meeting and everybody decided to get their yard work done around eight thirty. Kinda good in a way, I have been sleeping to late these days and there are things to do places to go.

This morning I was sifting through the various news media when I came across a little story about a guy named Garrison Keillor. For those who don't know him, Mr. Keillor is a simple old fashioned story teller. Up here in the Great White North his equivalent would be Dan Needles who writes about the goings on in a fictional township north of Toronto, Canada.

An example of Mr. Keillor's work... Guy Noir

Sadly Mr. Keillor has chosen to end his stage show and devote himself to writing. He has a gift for making people laugh in a kind and gentile way that very few can match. I used to listen to his radio show on NPR when it was quiet at night while at work. It was the kind of entertainment that is very rare these days. Oh well at least there will still be his writing.

In other news one of the Brexit authors, movers and shakers has bowed out of a possible leadership bid. Boris Johnson, the used case salesman of British Parliament, has come to terms with the fact that he is well and truly screwed himself.

Have to say that seeing the photo in this story it has to be the most American accident I have seen in a long time.

The only thing that is missing with this story about a guy being towed behind a sinking boat going round and round is a video and the theme music from the Benny Hill Show. Before you ask, yes alcohol was involved.

It's starting to look like Alaska is slowly turning into Florida only with ice and snow in the winter. Here we have a story about a guy who has an accident while driving impaired,.that's not really news... Where it gets strange was when the police found a body in the trunk of his car. Crap!

This is another one, with video goodness, that needs the Benny Hill theme music. Remember if you are going to try and out run the law at least be in something that can out run the law. Seriously.

OK... and that's a wrap for me from up here North of Disorder.
